Secure and trusted mobile working

[i]-SeC is a product suite which delivers a universal security solution across all wireless networks. Over-the-air security ensures authenticated clientserver transactions. An overhead of less than 1% makes it ideally suitable for both narrow and wide band networks. The end-to-end encryption adds to the overall security of any air-interface with minimal impact; in addition the Certificate Authority can be controlled by an end organisation or the network operator. [i]-SeC incorporates a client firewall written to EAL4 standards, when deployed with the [i]-BrJ multi bearer solution it maintains the integrity of each connected network, Optional bio-metric sign-on is available.

Over the air security

[i]-Sec provides encryption technology which establishes a highly secure connection, and enables end-to-end encrypted data transfer and session authentication over a narrowband network. It uses a stategy for synchronous generation of keys by client and server for over-the-air data exchange. This has the advantage that it reduces the chance of a brute force attack on the key-space by reducing the amount of data that is enciphered with a single key and involves no over-the-air key exchange. [i]-SeC's unique synchronous key generation algorithm changes keys, and ensures full AES protection without the need for over-the-air key exchange. [i]-SeC is designed for use on low bandwidth networks, either where the demand for bandwidth is escalating or the end user device has a limited capacity - PDA, Mobile and Touchscreen terminals. Client authentication is included in the system to deny access by unauthorised or compromised clients.

Client firewall

The client is protected during multi-bearer operation by the client firewall component of [i]-SeC, whose principal purpose is to prevent incursion to a trusted bearer, e.g.TETRA, from an untrusted bearer, e.g. GPRS.
